Caribbean 1500: GPS Tracking

Carib1500-rallyfleet-sm.png

The Cruising Rally Association is a group of sailors on the East Coast of the United States and plans sailing adventures for its members. They offer Ocean Sailing Seminars, but the highlight of the season appears to be the rally from the East Coast to the Caribbean. In the Spring they return as a group.

“The Cruising Rally Association has helped make ocean sailing safer and more accessible for thousands of sailors for almost two decades,” according to President and Founder Steve Black. “Each event offers a balance of adventure, camaraderie, and competition to first timers and veteran passage makers alike.”

You can track the progress of this year’s rally on their website. See the link below.

This might be fun to do either in the Spring or next Fall. I hear they’re always looking for crew.

Shooting IP Phones with my Browser

IMG00479-sm.jpg

New 7970 Cisco IP phone in the office crashes when you tickle it on port 80. Likely not a feature and doesn’t appear to work on 7960 Series phones. If this holds true for 7970 units, a Perl script could take out an office.
